We are excited to announce that through your generous donations the students of Assumption BVM School raised enough money to buy A HOUSE for the community of the Adelante Youth Mission in the Dominican Republic.

Over the years, approximately 400+ small houses have been built and furnished with simple, clean, and sturdy materials for the very poor which provides basic necessities that most of us take for granted. Homes include block and wood siding, cement floors, sturdy tin roofs, windows and doors, paint, and electricity for a light fixture. Our primary recipients include the elderly, disabled, sick and the poorest community members (source: adelanteyouthmission.com).

The simple furnishings include 1-2 beds, kitchen table and chairs, a table-top propane stove, small fan, and a small refrigerator.
