What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is simply gift cards you purchase at face value. They look the same as gift cards you purchase at the store. We carry many of your favorite restaurants, stores, gas stations, theaters, vacation destinations, etc.
How Does It Work?
The participating retailers agree to sell us the gift certificates for less than their face value. You pay face value and the difference is our profit. The profit is issued to Assumption SCRIP Center. Each family selects how they want to allocate their portion of the profit, with at least 25% going to the Assumption Endowment Fund. You may choose to have your 75% go toward Assumption School tuition, Faith Formation classes, Catholic High School Tuition, help another family with tuition, or you may choose to have 100% allocated to the Assumption Endowment Fund. Funds are applied bi-annually (October and April).
With over 750 retailers, electronic and reloadable gift cards, SCRIP is an easy way to earn money towards tuition or Assumption’s Education Endowment Fund.
How do I get started?
We require new SCRIP users to complete the SCRIP User Profile. This indicates how you would like your earned profit allocated (earnings to tuition, Faith Formation, Education Endowment Fund, etc.). The Profile must be submitted to the parish office before your first order to receive credit towards tuition.
